Unscheduled hourly overages will be billed on the first of each month at $16.00 per hour. Sunday Open Studio hours will not be counted as part of regular Studio Associate hours.

Storage
Associates will be provided with a 3' x 6' x 18" metal locker for storage of their materials and supplies. No other storage space will be provided without incurring additional charges. Associates must keep the front floor space of their locker clear of any projects or materials. Associates may keep materials/supplies projects on top of their lockers as long as it does not pose a safety hazard. Please see the Safety Rules for more information about storage limitations/ rules.

Facility Access
Associates are permitted to work in the Main shop (Central Studio). The South Smithy (garage) and Lower shop (basement) may be used by special arrangement only. South and Lower shop use may involve additional cost.

Record Keeping
All hourly studio use will be logged by each individual in a logbook located at the front counter in the gallery. Logbook forms must be entirely filled out, including name, Associate level (Gold, Silver, Hourly), time logged in, time logged out, total time spent, Smartshop staff initials, and total remaining hours. Completing the logbook properly each time will aid both Smartshop in tracking costs and usage, as well as provide Studio Associates with a reminder as to their use. This will hopefully aid in limiting unscheduled overages. Individual accuracy of the logbook not only maintains efficiency of the administrative efforts of the shop, but is a courtesy to fellow artists who are also maintaining the logbook. Failure to adequately sign in and out will result in an automatic forfeiture of eight studio hours per infraction.
